Freedom For Sale

Anyone who has been paying attention to the Democrat Party’s 2020 platform and watched the debates must be wondering if we are entering that generation in which we lose our freedom. Listening to the different candidates it is hard to tell which one is the farthest to the left. We are being promised free healthcare, increased social security benefits, thousand dollar a month living stipends, a pristine environment, free higher education, unlimited immigration and security from those people who would perpetrate evil with assault weapons. The only thing we must do as citizens is give up more of our God given rights as well as more of our hard-earned money.

Upon visiting numerous Democrat Presidential primary websites I have come to the conclusion that if anyone of these candidates were to be elected and if their party takes control of both houses of congress, we will be part of that generation that loses the rest of our freedoms. But, if you are to believe the propaganda that they publish on their campaign sites it will be well worth it because we will be living in a perfect world where everything will be given to us and according to Elizabeth Warren gun violence will be reduced by 80%. Who wouldn’t mind giving up their freedom for both financial and physical security, i.e. socialism?

I am hoping the answer to that question is most freedom loving people. We must only look at other countries that have followed this path that the Democrats want us to go down and see where they have ended up. This type of socialist agenda has never worked in the past and will not work now. America is on the verge of bankruptcy as it is without adding trillions of dollars of debt to an already overburdened economy. Unfortunately, because of our public education system many of the current generation believe that this failed system will somehow be the answer to all our country’s ills. This is what happens when the liberals from the sixties are allowed to take over our education system, Karl Marx would be proud.

I believe that these Democrats know exactly what they are doing and where they plan on taking this country. Because of this they know they need to disarm the public. At some point the people will wake up to what is being done to them, just look at the unrest in Venezuela. Therefore most if not all candidates have talked about gun reform/confiscation. It is not about safety for the citizens but about safety for those who wish to rule us. After all it is all about the power.

Would Closing The Border Actually Work?

President Trump has threatened to close the border with Mexico because of the lack of support from that country in curtailing the increased illegal crossings. The President is doing this to force the Mexican government into action and not to affect a decrease in illegal border crossings since the border is already closed to illegals.

This is the same strategy that the President used when shutting down the Federal Government in order to force through his border wall funding. This did not work then and will not work now. Closing the border for an extended period of time will negatively affect the U.S. economy and I am not talking about just a shortage of avocados. 600 Billion dollars a year in trade crosses our southern border, of that $137 billion is food, the rest in manufactured goods. I doubt the American people will put up with that for long. With the 2020 elections coming up the last thing our President wants to do is create economic problems that would cause pain for hard working Americans. Difficulties that the Democrats and MSM would take advantage of and use to hammer President Trump throughout the campaign.

I know the President sees himself as a tough negotiator and it has served him well in his previous business dealings. If this threat of a border closure does work it will be a win for us but if the bluff does not work and he were to follow through with a border closure it will end up being a disaster for his administration and will jeopardize his chance of reelection. However it is very possible that the Mexican government sees this as only a bluff and may just ignore it. If this is the case it will be interesting to see what the President will do next.

Russian air force planes land in Venezuela carrying troops: reports

According to Reuters the Russians are sending more troops to Venezuela. This could seriously ratchet up tensions between the U.S. and Russia. So much for Trumps’ collusion with Russia.

” CARACAS (Reuters) – Two Russian air force planes landed at Venezuela’s main airport on Saturday carrying a Russian defense official and nearly 100 troops, according to media reports, amid strengthening ties between Caracas and Moscow. A flight-tracking website showed that two planes left from a Russian military airport bound for Caracas on Friday, and another flight-tracking site showed that one plane left Caracas on Sunday. ”

Why can’t the United states be like new zealand

This past week after the tragedy in Christchurch New Zealand we had our politicians once again take up the call for more gun control.  Like many of these mass gun deaths this one took place in a gun free zone and could have been lessened if there was someone in this mosque who was carrying. The police response time was over 6 minutes from the time they received the initial call reporting shots being fired. This is an incredible amount of time when someone has a gun and is shooting people randomly as is made evident with the death toll at this mosque

When it comes to our typical progressive politicians, they do not let facts get in the way. The same can be said for the politicians in New Zealand who have already proposed more gun control. Unfortunately for the citizens of that country they do not have a 2nd Amendment to protect their rights and more gun restrictions will not make them any safer. Evil people will always find away to commit atrocities such as this and the one thing they all have in common is that they do not obey the law. Unfortunately, our politicians see what New Zealand is doing and wonder why we can’t do the same.

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) stated via Twitter, “This is what real action to stop gun violence looks like. We must follow New Zealand’s lead, take on the NRA and ban the sale and distribution of assault weapons in the United States.”

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) tweeted out a video of Ardern’s confiscation announcement, adding, “See. It’s not that hard.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tweeted, “Christchurch happened, and within days New Zealand acted to get weapons of war out of the consumer market. This is what leadership looks like.”

We can be thankful for our 2nd Amendment which helps protect us from mindless progressives who ignore the facts. We have to be continuously vigilant because their unstated goal is gun confiscation.
